Born: Bennet Farms, just outside of town

| In the Beginning |

 Derek was the eldest of four. Born on a farm, he quickly became a trouble maker when he just couldn't find the farm interesting enough. This lead to many problems as a child, until he found his starter pancham. When he found the little panda pokemon, he suddenly gained focus, resolve, and a goal. He wanted to be a gym leader, and his pancham was going to take him there. They trained side by side day in and day out, and as soon as he finished school, he left for another region with his pancham to do just that - never getting in touch with his family again. 


| Welcome to Pokemon Township! | 

 Years later, he was amazed at how little the town not far from his town hadn't changed. He had expected something bigger, more brilliant. Still, this would do. He didn't need to stay ehre long, he could always pack up and go. Ringing the door bell he looked around. This condo looked expensive, for the life of him he couldn't figure out how Wren, the third elfest, or oldest sister, managed to afford it. Still, when she buzzed the person in (without checking who it was he may add - she was always to trusting) he had more things to worry about. She would no doubt ream him out for not dropping by the farm first.

 When he elevator door stopped, opening up to not one, but three barking poochyena's, he was overwhelmed, just as arms wrapped around him.

 "Derek!"

 He hugged her back, then entered as soon as she let go of him. He casually walked around the home, noting how clean and, well, professional, it looked. 

 He threw his bag onto the couch, laying down. Instead of answering her questions, as she paused to look at him crossly with her arms folded across her chest, before he finally spoke.

 "So how long can I stay?"

  Achievement Earned: couch acquired came back to Ivywood with Pancham and his team!

| The time has Come | 

 As the days started to get colder, it was to be anticipated that his sister, who hated the cold, would get more grumpy. And grumpy she certainly got. So, with that in mind, Derek finally decided it was high time he stopped lounging on her couch for free, and get himself a job. The mayor was surprisingly more easy to convince than he had first expected, apparently they didn't have a whole lot of detectives in the town and his police training had come in handy. It'll make him less appreciated at the bar, he knew, but money was money and he wanted to start helping wren out with the rent at least, considering he hate all her groceries too. 

  Achievement Earned: Got a job as a detective! Let the ultimate sleuthing begin!  He changed his active pokemon to his best bud Kecleon, who is the sleuthiest.
